30th Anniversary of the Calgary Celtic Folk Club – April 8th

One week after our dance, and in the same hall, Celtic Folk will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. The house band, The Rakes of Sunday, has our very own Davey Settles, Lesley Jefferson, and Karen and Michael Pollock along with the lovely and talented Derek Lofthouse. There’s three decades of entertainment crammed into one evening.

Steven will be prompting this dance, “Wingnut Whirl”.  There is no political or social commentary implied, although Steven has mentioned that he finds it odd that when ever the question “Can people be even more foolish?” is asked, some take it as a challenge.  *ahem*  About this dance?  It’s a bit whirly, but it’s very easy.
